How To Wear Orange 🍊

Nothing may rhyme with it, but sooo many things pair with it. Orange is the colour of 2022.

Move over marigold yellow… there’s a new bright, juicer, citrus-ier colour trending this spring season – ORANGE! 🧡I would have to say that orange is probably one of the most controversial colours out there when it comes to fashion. I have so many friends that I know for a fact wouldn’t dare think of buying even a bobby pin in the pantone, let alone an actual clothing piece. But guess what?? This is orange’s year, friends! Let it have its moment and embrace it.

The orange that is trending this year is not a subtle rust orange or a safety vest orange, but instead a true, vibrant orange. The kind that used to be in your crayon box as a kid. Not going to lie, I’ve always loved the colour orange so I’m very welcoming of this trend. Fun fact – at grade eight graduation when all the other girls were wearing pretty pinks, purples, baby blues, corals, or sparkles for their gowns, I opted to rock an orange dress. I remember even at that age my friends kind of gave me the raised eyebrow look but like I said, I’ve always loved orange.

(Grade 8 grad pic for reference. Clearly having a TIME.)

Since orange can be an intimidating colour to wear, I’m going to show you some ways to incorporate this fun colour into your wardrobe this upcoming spring season. Take a look!

Orange you glad I didn’t say banana? C’mon.. you guys knew that was coming. I had to. Orange will be absolutely EVERYWHERE this year, especially this spring/summer. So let’s get ahead of it and plan how we will incorporate it into our looks. If orange is a colour that intimidates you, the best way to introduce it to your wardrobe is through accessories. Try an orange bag, sandals, headband, or jewelry to add little pops of colour and to learn to get a feel for it.

If you’re like me and are already comfortable with orange, there’s no reason to not go allllll out. I’ve seen so many cute dresses, bathing suits, and matching shirt & skirt sets in this colour that are so perfect for spring. I feel like for myself, I personally like the colour on me better when I have a little bit of a tan going on. But that’s nothing St. Tropez can’t fix… amirite? No excuses here!

Step outside your comfort level this spring and embrace the colour orange and everything it has to offer.

Happy ORANGE shopping! 🍊🦁🥕🦺

Until next hump day…

Peace & love!
