Some of you have been asking what I use to edit my photos or platforms I use for my blog – here are your answers! I DEFINITELY don’t consider myself a techy gal by any means, but these 10 apps have helped me tremendously in managing my content and blog. Maybe these apps will be useful for you too!
Instagram – I mean.. this app needs no introduction. We all know it and love it. I use Instagram to not only post my daily content but also to promote my new blog posts each week. It’s great to connect with people, learn and educate yourself, and to gain some inspo for more than just fashion.
Google Docs – One of my most used apps for sure. As a blogger, I’m constantly jotting ideas and notes down as they come to me so I don’t forget them. I draft all of my blog posts on Google Docs so having this app on-the-go is such a game changer.
Google Analytics – I’ve recently been really interested in analyzing the trends and user behaviour behind my blog and my followers. It’s really important to understand what your followers want to see and how different subjects impact traffic flow to your site. Highly recommend if you are interested in learning more about your users!
Lightroom – The only app I use to edit my photos. I used to go so hard on the Insta filters (didn’t we all), but now I prefer a much more natural-looking picture. Lightroom is amazing and allows you to create presets to match the aesthetic of your blog or feed which make it super easy to edit.
Premiere Rush – I’m just starting to get into the TikTok game but this app has been super helpful in editing my videos. I find the TikTok app a bit finicky and doesn’t always allow me to edit the videos how I would like so I almost always use Premiere Rush to edit my videos before uploading.
SparkPost – If you need to create branded messages or announcements, you need to download SparkPost. This app is great because you can add your branding into the app to make it nice and simple when creating your posts – just select your colour, your text, and your logo and you’re good to go!
Hootsuite – Game. Changer. I post a lot on social media. Between creating content, writing blogs, my day job, and any other things that may come up throughout the day, I’m bound to forget to make a post. I use Hootsuite to schedule my posts when I know I’m going to be busy. You can also view some analytics on this app as well. So helpful!
Feed Preview – This app changed my content game. I personally love the look of a cohesive feed and this allows me to plan for that. I can view what my feed would look like if I were to upload certain photos. I use this app every single day without a doubt. For my aesthetic-lovers out there, this app is for you.
Notes – Who doesn’t constantly use their Notes app?? I use it when I’m jotting down any information really but I use it most for brainstorming and creating my hashtags and captions. I have one note dedicated to hashtags and one dedicated to captions. Once I’m done, I copy and paste from there to my post.
Dropbox– I loveeee this app. I obviously take a lot of photos for both my blog and my content, which means I have tons of photos to store. I don’t want them all on my phone so I store them on Dropbox in specific folders. With this app, I still have access to them at all times without them taking up storage on my phone. Big win!
Look at me… just talking in all the tech lingo. I’m still learning as I go and am absolutely open to any & all suggestions, so send them my way!
Until next hump day…
Peace & love!
