Ohhhhhh shoes. 🥰 I get giddy just thinking about new shoes. I have loved shoes for as long as I can remember, in all of their beautiful forms – sandals, runners, slides, boots, sneakers, slippers, you name it. There simply just isn’t a better feeling than rocking a fresh pair of kicks. You immediately feel like you can accomplish anything and everything the world throws your way, almost like you’re invincible. For some people they feel invincible after listening to a motivational podcast, for me, it’s rocking new shoes.
Now that we are officially into summer (YAY 🌞), I think it’s the perfect time to talk about the shoes you NEED this season. I feel like this is the first spring/summer in a while that a large focus of fashion is dedicated to shoes. Of course shoes are always a hot topic, but I feel like even more so this year. Probably because we all wore slippers for over a year straight…
Here are some shoes I’m loving and will be rocking all summer long.
Quilted Sandals
Quilted anything is soooo in right now. The chunky shoe has been around for a couple summers now, so the quilted sandal is just an extension of that. But not only does the quilted texture look sick in shoe form, but it’s also beyond comfortable because of the extra padding. Win-win!
Crocs
Please don’t judge me. THEY ARE BACK, PEOPLE! I know they are Crocs and they were supposed to die in the early 2010s, but they really are the best slip-on shoes to run errands while being comfortable. They look hella cute with a sweatsuit and work great when going to the beach too. I’m telling you, they are back…
Velcro Sandals
Who knew the go-to shoe trend for toddlers would also be the go-to shoe trend for adults this summer?? Not only practical, but V chic. The sandals definitely need a little bit of a platform or chunkiness to them, but they are sooo cute and actually stay on your feet.
Square-Toe Mule
Living for this shoe style! I adore the square-toe trend and I find the mule look to be so flattering. The chunky heel allows for wayyy more comfort than a traditional stiletto heel, while still providing an elegant look. These are the perfect Gucci sandal dupe that everyone is obsessed with.
Cowboy Boots
Yeehaw! My love for cowboy boots runs deep. As big of a statement as they are, I really do find them to be all-season footwear. For the summer, you can pair them with a cute summer dress, a mini skirt and crew neck sweater, or cut-off jean shorts and a tank. I wouldn’t suggest wearing them on the super hot days because they can be 😅, but for those regular warm days they are adorable.
Platform Sneakers
I have a true obsession with any and all platform sneakers. I blame it on the fact that I’m a 90s kid. But for real, platform sneakers not only give you a couple inches for us gals that are looking to be a bit taller, but they also give the illusion that your legs are just a teeny tiny bit longer, which I am HERE FOR. The platform Converse is a new twist on an old classic.
I would say happy shoe shopping, but shoe shopping is always happy! 👟 👠 👢🩴 👡
