Styled 4 Ways Pt.2
Styled 4 Ways Pt.2
The accessory that has taken over our wardrobes in the best way - the silk scarf.
Welcome back to part two of my styling series, Styled 4 Ways! For those of you that have been following along with my weekly blog posts, you must know by now that I’m a big believer of versatility being KEY in any wardrobe. Not only is it cost effective, but it’s freakin fun! I love challenging myself to take one piece and styling it as many ways as I possibly can. But I’m weird so I totally understand that not everyone does this in their spare time… 🙃
So even though we’ve declared that I’m a weirdo, I swear that this extremely versatile piece of clothing that I’m highlighting this week is the farthest thing from weird. In fact, it’s probably the trendiest item of the summer – the silk scarf. This piece has been in and out of the fashion industry for a longgg time. Whether it’s been trendy as a headpiece or as a top, the silk scarf is definitely not a stranger to the runway.
The greatest thing about a silk scarf, other than the fact that it’s sooo cute, is all the different ways you can style it. You’ve probably seen 62740184 videos on TikTok and Reels of the different ways to style a silk scarf, and I’m here to show you some of my favourite ways to wear it.
Take a look at how I’ve been wearing my silk scarf this summer:
- As a tube top – This is probably the most common way to wear a silk scarf as a top. It’s not only super cute, but also very easy to tie and comfortable. You can totally dress it up or down and gives off the summeriest summer vibes everrrrr. Love, love love.
- As a head piece – I truly never thought I would be able to pull this style off but I am living for it this summer. Adding a silk scarf to your hair or head really spices up a basic outfit, taking it from cute to ADORBS. And I mean, another great way to hide day 4 hair, ammirite??
- As a halter top – Another chic way to style the silk scarf as a top. The halter style top is SO in this season and is a style that I find to be so flattering. A silk scarf + a halter top = ON POINT. Paired with wide leg trousers, a mini skirt, or jeans, the silk scarf worn as a halter is a must.
- As a bag – C’monnnn, how sweet is the silk scarf as a bag? I think this is the perfect little silk bag for going to lunch or to meet up for coffee. Any type of outing that would not require too much to be carried in the bag, it would work perfectly. A very elegant, yet fun twist on the traditional silk scarf.
Like I said, this is by no means even close to all the ways you can style your silk scarf. These are just some of my fav ways to wear them. Long story short, if you don’t have a silk scarf, you’re overdue. If you do have a silk scarf, HAVE FUN WITH IT. These pieces are so so so fun and so so so versatile.
Can’t wait to see how you all style yours!
Until next hump day…
Peace & love!
