Although I absolutely love to create and put outfits together myself to inspire others, I wanted to share with you guys some of my forever fashion icons. These are the people that I always look to for inspiration if I’m in a style rut and definitely the people that have influenced me in some of my fashion decisions throughout the years. This will be the first of several fashion icon blogs I will be sharing, but I thought I would start this series off with one I think everyone will agree with – Hailey Bieber. I meannnnn… who isn’t inspired by Hailey Bieber’s closet? Her vibe is just soooo good. 

Other than being JB’s last one less lonely girl, Hailey is known for her laid-back yet extremely chic style in the fashion industry. I’m not talking her runway looks (although those are pretty great too), I’m talking about her killer street style. This girl can seriously rock ANYTHING – blazers, jeans, sweatsuits, trench coats, high tops, bralettes, you name it. Her style incorporates a combination of athleisure wear and street clothes which gives off an edgy yet classy look. It’s everythinggggg.

I took some of my favourite Hailey Bieber looks and replicated them with items I have in my closet. Do you think Biebs would approve??

When I think Hailey Bieber’s style game, three things come to mind immediately: oversized, Levi jeans, and chunky gold hoop earrings. All things I love! These things are kind of like her trademark look. You’ll notice that she adds these elements into many of her iconic everyday looks. Hailey typically rocks very neutral colours such as white, black, or grey and goes for a full monochromatic look. Super cute and trendy. 

If Hailey is not wearing a neutral colour from head to toe, then she is usually mixing in a pop of colour somewhere in her outfit (read last week’s blog, POP of Colour, for more info on this concept). To keep things fun, she is always switching up where the colour lives on her outfit too – blazer, shoes, scrunchie, pants, or purse. This is a fun way to bring different colours into your wardrobe without going over the top. 

However, the number one reason why I love Hailey’s style so much is because she strives for and embraces COMFORT. And who in the world doesn’t like to be comfortable? The older I get, the more I love and appreciate comfort in clothing. I’m more particular about materials, fits, and lengths because comfort is now something I look for and am aware of when purchasing clothes. Boy oh boy, I used to try and squeeze into clothes that were either too small or just straight up uncomfortable because I thought it was cute… update: definitely wasn’t cute. I don’t miss those days. Comfort is stylish, friends! 

The key with everything Hailey wears is her confidence. It is the best accessory you can add to any outfit. So get yourself dressed (or not), put on some lip gloss, and wear your confidence like you would an oversized blazer. Hailey would approve!
