Some of you have been asking about the makeup products I use, so I decided to show you what I have in my makeup bag… because I most definitely did not wake up like this! I need to preface this blog with saying that I am the FARTHEST thing from a makeup expert, artist, or fanatic. In fact, my friends usually make fun of me for just how little I actually know about makeup. It’s not that I don’t like it because I definitely do, I guess it’s just that I have a different relationship with clothes and fashion than I do with makeup. I also have three brothers so I partially blame it on that too. With that being said, I’m learning SO much about beauty and makeup and my collection just seems to be growing and growing as time goes on! 

 

In all honesty, I don’t wear a ton of makeup on a daily basis. If I’m going out on the town or dressing up for an event, I will absolutely add where necessary and have fun with it – perhaps a winged eye liner or bold red lip. But in terms of my average everyday look, I’m pretty minimal. I actually much prefer the natural, “no makeup” makeup look if you know what I mean. Although I loveeee makeup trends and fun colours on other people, I personally embrace the idea that less is more for my face. 

 

I have broken out my makeup bag into three categories for you – face, eyes, and lips. Some of these items I’ve had FOREVER and others are recent additions. Take a look!

 

Face 👩

 

Photo Finish Primer, Smashbox – The OG primer. I’ve been using this primer forever and will continue to so until a better one comes along (which I highly doubt). 

Skin Tint, Radford Beauty – This product is seriously EVERYTHING. I’m not joking when I say this formula changed the game for me. It’s a new product to my lineup but I see it always playing on the first list from here on out! Highly recommend.

True Match Concealer, L’Oréal Paris – My bff got me into this concealer. I have dark under eyes and this stuff does the trick. It is also great for covering up those zit things we all know and love.

Studio Fix Powder, MAC Cosmetics – Love this powder and have been using it forever. I really only use it to set my concealer and it works fabulously. 

Stick Foundation, Anastasia Beverley Hills – I made the switch from powder to cream products this summer and I’m obsesseddddd. I don’t know why I waited this long. It makes your skin so dewy and fresh, and who doesn’t love that?

Hoola Matte Bronzer, Benefit Cosmetics – I mean… if you know you know. Best bronzer on the shelves.

Lip & Cheek Stick, Milk Makeup – Again, cream products are where it’s at, friends. This product is so good and it doubles as a lip tint! Versatility at its finest. 

Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter, Becca Cosmetics – The be-all end-all of highlighters. I can confidently say everytime I wear this product, someone asks me what highlighter I’m wearing… and I’ve been wearing it for 5 years. 

 

Eyes 👀

 

ka-BROW! Eyebrow Cream-Gel, Benefit Cosmetics – This product changed my eyebrow game for life. If you’re looking for your brows to be on fleek, look no further!

Gimme Brow Volumizing Gel, Benefit Cosmetics – Another amazing brow product by Benefit. This just gives your brows that fluffy effortless look. I’m obsessed. 

Professional 3-in-1 Clear Gel, CoverGirl – A product I use almost everyday. Whether it be on my brows or for my lashes, this stuff is great for a more natural look. 

Ultimate Shadow Palette, NYX Professional Makeup – I have to say that eye shadow is my biggest weakness in terms of makeup, but this palette is gorgeous. I love every colour of shadow.

Voluminous Original Primer, L’Oréal Paris – GAME CHANGER!!! If you love the look of nice long, luscious, and voluminous lashes like me, this stuff needs to be in your makeup routine. It primes your lashes and allows for mascara to be coated on sooo nicely. 

Roller Lash Curling Mascara, Benefit Cosmetics – My. Fav. Mascara. Ever. I don’t really have anything else to say. 

 

Lips 👄

 

Makeout Blam, Radford Beauty – Another new product to the lineup. Let’s just say that this product is with me at all times. It is the most hydrating and amazingly plumping lip gloss. I can’t even! 

Lip Tint, Radford Beauty – I love this product because unlike some lipsticks, this one is 50% lip balm which makes it so hydrating. Love love love!

Matte Lipstick, MAC Cosmetics – Who doesn’t love a MAC matte lipstick? You’re lying if you say no to this question. Just so good. 

Lustre Lipstick, MAC Cosmetics – I stumbled upon this lipstick by an accident but I fell in love. An awesome alternative to the matte lipsticks at MAC. 

Beeswax Lip Balm, Burt’s Bees – If I were stranded on a desert island and was only allowed to bring one thing with me, this would be it. My #1 since day 1. I love you Burt’s Bees. 

 

I definitely don’t use all of these products everyday (especially in quarantine), but I would say that I use a combination of these things for my daily makeup routine. I love these products, I recommend these products, and I vouch for these products.
