Thanksgiving Fits 🥧

Let us be thankful for our outfits this year.

Ah, the time has come, my friends. The weekend meant for all things mashed potatoes, gratitude, Tofurkey (veggie turkey), family, apple pies, togetherness, pumpkins, family photos, stuffing, and football. Thanksgiving is one of my FAV holidays of the year (second to Christmas, of course). I just love the entire vibe of the holiday and wish it lasted much longer than one weekend. Like most things, I always will find a way to incorporate a good outfit into the mix. Let’s talk Thanksgiving fits!

When I think of Thanksgiving looks, I think of oversized, cozy, plaid prints, brown hues, and most importantly… COMFORT. Let’s be real… the main event of this holiday is stuffing your face until you can no longer breathe. Therefore, comfort is and should be the main priority here. But just because you’re comfortable certainly does not mean that you can’t look cute as hell too. There is absolutely a way to achieve both goals of looking photo-ready and feeling comfortable.

Whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving by having a fam dinner, going to a friendsgiving celebration, doing some outdoor activities, or just laying low at home, there’s an outfit for that. You can never ever go wrong with the classic knit sweater, jeans, and boots. This is a Thanksgiving staple and is safe for just about any activity you have lined up this holiday. If you want to spice up this look, try adding a rancher-style hat, a patterned trench coat, or some statement boots.

For those who like to turn it up a notch, I highly recommend a long knit dress. So gorgeous and so comfortable. This is a great option if you do family photos on Thanksgiving like myself – dressy but not over the top. I would pair the dress with some knee high or cowboy boots and a coloured bag. You can even add a patterned scarf if you’re looking to add some colour. Keep the accessories simple and let the dress do the talking.

Another option, for those who prefer pants, is to go the oversized blazer route. Add a turtleneck and some mom jeans… *chefs kiss*. This is such a classic fall look and works perfectly for Thanksgiving events too. But the most beautiful thing about an oversized blazer is that when dessert comes around and you feel the need to undo the top button of your jeans to make room… you can do that and no one at the table will see. I knew there was a reason we loved the oversized trend!

I hope everyone has a beautiful weekend in their beautiful outfits. Let’s enjoy time with loved ones, take a minute to practice gratitude, and if there is ever a doubt as to whether you should have a second piece of pie… do it.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

Until next hump day…

Peace & love!
