5 Sunglasses Trends For Spring 🕶

5 Sunglasses Trends For Spring 🕶

I wear my sunglasses at night… and in the day, and all the time. So let’s step up our sunglasses game this season!

Spring is just around the corner which means brighter days are ahead, my friends. YAY! About damn time. Since the days will start to get brighter and brighter, it’s time to think about our sunglasses game. Not only are sunglasses protective for your eyes against the sun, but they also add an extra element of badass to any outfit whether it be a power suit, jeans and an old t-shirt, or your workout getup.

Just like every other piece of clothing or accessory, the trends for sunglasses seem to change slightly every year. The trends for this season are definitely glasses we’ve seen before but are making a return in a big way. A blast from the past if you will! Sunglasses may be one of the smaller accessories you can wear, but they have a large impact on both your outfit and your overall mood. So let’s get into it!

Take a looksie:

1) Y2K Rimless Sunglasses – Y’all probably already know we are basically living in 2002 with the recent hype of everything Y2K fashion. So it comes as no surprise that the classic rimless glasses that Britney Spears used to iconically rock are soooo in this season.

2) Oval Frames – My personal fav! Say bye-bye to circle glasses, oval glasses are all the craze this year. This shape of frame is such a timeless piece and one I think will stay for a while.

3) Colourful Lenses – Hello 70s! Colour is absolutely everywhere this year, including your eyewear. This trend is such a fun way to incorporate more colour into your outfits without having to actually wear the colour on your body. Try a neutral look with a pair of coloured lense glasses and BAM.. you’re rocking colour!

4) Tortoise Shell – This pattern truly is timeless. I find that tortoise shell seriously looks good on everyone and is a little more fun than just your classic black sunglasses. No matter the shape or size, if you’re rocking tortoise shell this season… you’re on trend.

5) Oversized Cat Eye – We know and love the tiny cat eye, but this year it’s all about the oversized cat eye sunglasses. Think Hailey Bieber at the MET last year. It’s just as chic as the smaller frame, but gives off a little bit more of that cool girl vibe with the oversized frame.

Here’s to new trends, sunglasses shopping, and looking like a total badass!

Until next hump day…

Peace & love!
